The beginning of the year is always a great time for fashion as awards season picks up and Hollywood’s biggest stars dress to impress on the red carpet. I’ve selected a few of my favourite gowns and suits from Sunday’s 88th Academy Awards red carpet and the Vanity Fair after-party.
Best Dressed – Academy Awards’ Red Carpet
The gorgeous women of Hollywood did not disappoint on the red carpet at Sunday’s main event. Both Saoirse Ronan and Rachel McAdams stunned in shades of Emerald with Ronan appearing in Calvin Klein and McAdams showing off an August Getty Atelier gown. Oscar winning Brie Larson glowed in a Gucci gown, while Tina Fey looked like royalty in Versace and dazzling Bulgari jewels. Lastly, Maria Menounos sparkled in a white Christian Siriano dress while Olivia Munn wowed in a simple tangerine Stella McCartney silhouette.
As stunning as the women of Hollywood always are year after year, the men chose not to disappoint at this year’s show. Chadwick Boseman and Chris Evans looked very handsome as they presented in their structured tuxedos. Sam Smith clearly seemed nervous for his upcoming performance of “Writing’s on the Wall” in his red carpet interviews, but he looked incredibly pulled together in his Dunhill tuxedo. Lastly, Leonardo DiCaprio looked perfect in his Armani tux as he gave his long awaited acceptance speech for his first Oscar!
Best Dressed – Couples
All of Hollywood’s cutest couples dressed to impress at the 88th Academy Awards on Sunday! Chrissy Teigen showed off her baby bump in Marchesa with her hubby John Legend on her arm in David Yurman. Naomi Watts wowed in a sparkling Armani Prive gown and stunning Bulgari jewels while her husband looked dapper in his Burberry Tuxedo. Lastly, Matt Damon looked as happy as ever throughout the night with his gorgeous wife Luciana Barroso who was red hot in her sexy dress.
Best Dressed – Vanity Fair After Party
Sophie Turner, Rachel McAdams, Justin Timberlake, Jessica Biel, and Nina Dobrev all stunned at this year’s Vanity Fair Oscars After Party!
