This month’s “In Theatres” segment features two films that I cannot wait to hit cinemas this April! I have chosen to feature the action packed Furious 7 and the romantic fantasy film The Age of Adaline. Similar to March’s segment, if the two features don’t exactly fit your film personality then check out the list at the bottom for a couple other April releases.

Furious 7 – In Theatres Friday April 3rd:

Furious 7 is the the seventh action film of the Fast & Furious franchise, which focuses on Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel), Brian O’Conner (Paul Walker, RIP), Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) and the rest of the gang as they take on the revenge-seeking Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham). I have been a huge fan of this franchise since the classic The Fast & The Furious came out way back in 2001. I am excited for both major fights in this film, as Dwayne Johnson faces off against Jason Statham and Michelle Rodriquez takes on UFC Champion Ronda Rousey.

Bonus: For all the non die hard fans, I have included this glorious video by CineFix that summaries all six previous films in under three minutes!

The Age of Adaline – In Theatres Friday April 24th:

The Age of Adaline is a romantic fantasy film that follows the life of Adaline Bowman, played by the stunning Blake Lively, after she gets into a car accident and doesn’t appear to age a year past 27. After eight decades of not getting close to anyone for fear of being found out, Adaline meets the charismatic Ellis Jones (Michiel Huisman). I can’t wait to see how this story unfolds, especially once Ellis’ father William Jones (Harrison Ford) recognizes Adaline from when he knew her decades earlier.

If Furious 7 and The Age of Adaline aren’t exactly what you’re looking for this month, check out the list below for a couple others that grabbed my attention:
