November is going to be the most exciting month of the year for me regarding film releases, as it includes two of my most anticipated films! See below for the two films that I am anxiously awaiting to find time to go and see, as well as a list of extras for those of you looking for something a little different this month.

1) The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 – In Theatres Friday November 20th

The final instalment of the exceptional Hunger Games book to film adaptation series, Mockingjay – Part 2, is almost here! Mockingjay – Part 1 ended with Katniss watching helplessly as a “hijacked” Peeta fought against his restraints, while simultaneously Coin announced the new objective for District 13 to seize the Capitol’s military base in District 2. This ending has set the stage for the final film, as Katniss and her allies will need to band together to fight their way through the streets of the Capitol, in order to dethrone President Snow once and for all.

Ever since I initially read the impressive trilogy by Suzanne Collins I have been eagerly awaiting the release of each film, and have been blown away by every adaptation. I am full of bittersweet excitement, as I cannot wait to see the final storyline unfold but I’m equally as sad that it’s officially coming to a close. However, I will be harnessing this excitement with a mini-movie marathon in the coming weeks leading up to the final release, and I will continue this marathon tradition in years to come!

2) Spectre 007 – In Theatres Friday November 6th

I have thoroughly enjoyed the last three films starring Daniel Craig as the iconic Agent James Bond 007. Therefore, similar to Mockingjay – Part 2 I have been anxiously awaiting the release of the fourth instalment of the Daniel Craig-bond era. The third film, Skyfall, concluded with Mallory (Ralph Fiennes) taking over the head role of M, the clever reveal of Eve Moneypenny (Naomie Harris), and Bond receiving his next mission as a fully re-enstated MI6 agent. Spectre will follow Bond after he receives a secret message from his past, which will lead him to seek out a global crime organization called Spectre. I personally loved Javier Bardem’s performance in Skyfall as ex-agent Raoul Silva, but I can’t wait for Christoph Waltz to slay his role as the newest Bond villain, Spectre mastermind Ernst Stavro Blofeld.
